WHO PREA IS
Prea Epps is a survivor, financial coach, speaker, and founder of Reframed Financial Coaching. She works at the intersection of trauma, identity, and money. Helping ambitious women understand why they handle money the way they do, do the inner work that's been blocking them, and come out the other side fundamentally changed.
Her work is built on a simple but radical belief:
You cannot build lasting wealth from a broken foundation.
The inner work and the financial work are not separate. They never were.
HER STORY
One month after her tenth birthday, Prea's father committed a murder-suicide in their home. Her biological mother had already passed away when she was three. In one night she became an orphan.
What followed were decades of survival. A marriage that fell apart under financial stress she was carrying alone. Bankruptcy. Single motherhood. Years of rebuilding from the ground up slowly, imperfectly, and intentionally.
She graduated from Drexel University. She bought her dream home. She traveled the world. She paid down $17,000 in student loans during COVID and leveraged federal loan forgiveness to eliminate the rest, redirecting every dollar of that freedom into building wealth. And in 2025 she founded Reframed Financial Coaching not because she had a perfect financial journey, but because she had a real one.
